District I Trash to Treasures Contest Winner

There were six creative entries in the GCFP District I Trash to Treasures Contest "For the Birds".  Darlene Snyder of the Garden Class of WCCU designed the winning entry titled "Rustic wayside tearoom for the birds" and her club was awarded $25. The winner was selected by paper vote of all attendees at the District I meeting on March 15th.  Her entry will now compete with the entries from other districts in the state and will be on display at the GCFP 2013 Convention April 21-23, DoubleTree by Hilton, King of Prussia.  Judging will be by the Pennsylvania Resource Council and the top three winners will be awarded $150, $75, and $25, respectively.
